Do Everything
Love this new song by Steven Curtis Chapman.
“Do everything you do to the glory of the One who made you…”
We drove a ways one day and while we were heading home, this song came on the radio.
Well, of course we all started singing along as soon as we picked up tune, and it has become my favorite song (so far) for the summer.
But I can’t find a video or download of the song to share with you.
So instead, until the album comes out on August 9th, we just have to read the lyrics.

Blessings…

thunderstorms
tornado missing our old house by 1 mile
boy and girls in mucking boots
this new adventure I started- come take a look!

friends with us in the woods
‘shopping’ and laughing at prices and styles with Hannah
ice cream sundaes
gardens underwater
6 inches of rain in 2 hours
barefoot through the squelchy ground

The Power of Words
The Power of Words video has come through my inbox for the first time, and I LOVE IT.

click here…Words have the ability to either build up, encourage, help, and strengthen, or tear down, take apart, and ruin.
This video was a poignant reminder to me that Christ calls us to only speak and use words that are “helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.”
which is exactly what this video shows.
A girl who takes the time to use words to build another up and benefit those who can read them.

the “Top Hat Society”
It started last fall when me and R would stay at home while the other two went to class with Mom as the chauffeur.
First, it was the band, then the transportation.
Well, no one came to our auditions this last round, so we decided to take another approach and start a club,
The Top Hat Society.
You know, like the Red Hat Ladies?
We decided that the official members would start with a few of our closest friends.
Mr. Topham Hat himself… arriving in his airplane.
Black-and-White Cow looking very dapper in his hat…
Brown Bull arriving as well, with his hat precariously balanced between his horns…
I was named the official “Crazy Big Sister Photographer”.
We started with some introductions…
Shaking hands and exchanging names.
Then we moved on to the serious business of discussing who else would be invited to join our Top Hat Society.
It was decided that Buzz Lightyear Lego Man should also be invited. Mr. President ran upstairs to get him and let him try on his new hat.
however, we soon found the Buzz couldn’t be admit to the Society. His head was too small to fit into the Top Hat.
Soon we had grown tired of all the hat trying ons and requested that we adjourn for the most important part of the day-
lunch.
